Benefiting the Dove Center, Garrett County’s domestic violence services program, the Festival of Trees was created by the Dove Center’s board and staff to serve as the organization’s major annual fundraiser. Each tree, ticket, and cookie sold plays a part in supporting vital local services, proof that holiday magic can truly make a difference.
One of the most popular traditions is Breakfast with Santa, offered both mornings at 9 a.m. and 10 a.m.. For just $12 per person, guests enjoy breakfast from Trader's Coffee House, a photo opportunity with Santa in his sleigh, and a small gift from the jolly old elf himself. Children under 2 (24 months) are free, and tickets must be purchased in advance.
Little ones will find endless holiday cheer in Frosty’s Funland, where they can make keepsake crafts, create sand art, get their faces painted, and drop letters in Santa’s mailbox. At Mrs. Claus’ Bakery, kids decorate Christmas cookies under her cheerful guidance, then head to the Crazy Christmas Hair Booth for a Whoville-inspired makeover.

Throughout the day, special guests — including Santa, Mrs. Claus, Frosty, the Gingerbread Man, Elf, and Elsa — will be stopping by for photos and hugs. When it’s time to unwind, the Christmas Classics Movie Station offers cozy viewing for kids while parents explore other areas.
Adults can browse nearly 50 craft and artisan vendors, finding unique gifts and decorations. Children can do their own shopping in the Elfenheim Mall, where presents are just $1 each and include gift wrapping.

The heart of the event is the Forest of Trees, a dazzling display of decorated trees, wreaths, and centerpieces donated by local individuals, businesses, and groups. Each piece will be auctioned off, with proceeds supporting the Dove Center’s mission.
On Saturday evening, doors reopen at 5 p.m. for the Grand Finale Live Auction. Guests can enjoy light refreshments and a cash bar provided by Dutch’s at Silver Tree before bidding begins at 6 p.m.
From twinkling lights to heartwarming moments, the Festival of Trees is more than a holiday event, it’s a celebration of community and compassion. Join in the fun, find your holiday spirit, and help the Dove Center continue its vital work in Garrett County.
