The Deep Creek Lake Art, Wine, and Spirits Festival is September 11-12, 2026 at the Garrett County Fairgrounds. In its twenty first year, the festival is a favorite way to head into the fall season. It is popular with locals and visitors alike.
Plus, it benefits a great cause−HART for Animals. This local non-profit rescues and finds homes for animals in Western Maryland, West Virginia, and Western Pennsylvania.
Friday, September 5th, the event kicks-off with a premium wine and private label bourbon tasting. The evening features live entertainment and light hors d’ouerves provided by Mountain State Brewing Company and Firefly Farms. Tickets must be purchased in advance and you will receive a $25 coupon toward your store purchase.
Also on Friday, guests of Timber Rock Village have the opportunity to purchase tickets ($25 per person) for a premium wine and food pairing at the Lodge.
Local restaurants often host wine pairing dinners that are announced on social media closer to the event.
Saturday, September 6th, is the main event! In addition to the 200 regional, national, and international wines to taste, there will also be craft bourbon, whiskey, tequila, and more. Wine and spirits will be available for purchase in the wine shop.
- Tickets give you entry to the festival Saturday along with a commemorative glass, unlimited wine tasting (while supplies last), 12 spirit tasting tickets, and $15 off your wine/spirit store purchase. Visit the festival website to purchase tickets.
- Non-drinking/ages 13-20 tickets are available. Children under 12 get in free.
Numerous professional artists will be on hand displaying and selling their work. Jewelry, pottery, woodworking, photography, and paintings are just a few of the offerings. There will also be food artisans like Firefly Farms, Appalachian Honey, and High Country Creamery.
Other incredible food is available all day from local organizations like the Rotary Club, Knights of Columbus, Lakeside Creamery, and more.
The cigar bar is sponsored by The Stogie Co., a boutique line of cigars produced in Esteli, Nicaragua. Their unique blends can be enjoyed at the mobile cigar lounge.
Watch the college game of the week in the football lounge where Mountain State Brewing Company will be serving cold beer on tap.
Fun for the entire family, there are activities for the kids and live music will be happening throughout the day.
