2025 marks Deep Creek Lake's 100th birthday! To celebrate, the Deep Creek Lake Centennial Committee has planned a variety events throughout the year. Summer is filled with fun activities including the official "birthday bash" in July.

Deep Creek Lake Day - FREE Admission to Deep Creek Lake State Park
Recreation Fair at Deep Creek Lake State Park (sponsored by the Garrett County Health Department’s Population Health, Innovation, and Informatics Unit)
Boat parade on Deep Creek Lake - Organized by the Deep Creek Lake Lions Club, the parade will feature entries from all towns, various businesses, individuals and organizations.
The parade begins at 6PM at the Silver Tree Marine boat launch in McHenry Cove. It proceeds along the parade route ending at Dutch's at Silver Tree. You can watch and vote for your favorite boat!

JULY 5 - DCL100 Sailboat Regatta held by the Deep Creek Yacht Racing Association
JULY 8 - Deep Creek Lake 100th Par Tee Golf Classic
JULY 12-13 - Victorian Chautauqua in Mountain Lake Park will feature speakers portraying historical figures with Deep Creek Lake connections.
JULY 19 - DCL100 Birthday Bash will be held at the Garrett County Fairgrounds from noon-10PM. For just a quarter to enter, you can enjoy live music, a Kidzone, parade, crafts, food vendors, and contests.
The grand finale will be a nighttime drone spectacular!

AUGUST 23 - Deep Creek Lake Centennial Gala at Wisp Resort with a roaring 20’s theme and Big Band live music.
The Deep Creek Lake Centennial website is filled with information about Deep Creek Lake's rich history. It includes an interactive timeline as well as a full event schedule.
Their Facebook page features daily posts with area information, historic photos, and stories from the many families who have enjoyed the lake for decades.
