Planning a Deep Creek Lake summer vacation? Timber Rock Village makes it easy to enjoy the best of the lake and the comfort of a resort-style community. From boating and waterfalls to pool days and nights by the fire pit, here is a simple 4-day plan for summer fun.
After you arrive at Timber Rock Village, settle into your vacation home and take some time to explore the village.
Start your trip at The Reserve, where you can cool off in the outdoor pool, take a ride down the slide, or relax in the hot tub.

For dinner, keep it easy. Order takeout from Brenda’s Pizzeria or stop by Mountain State Brewing Co. for a casual dinner with a great sunset view from their patio.
Afterward, head back to your vacation home for board games and a cozy movie night.
Make your first full day all about on-the-water-fun at the Timber Rock Village community lakefront. Reserve our complimentary kayaks and paddleboards to explore the lake, or spend a day on the boat. You can bring your own or rent one at a local marina. It's the perfect way to make the most of a summer day!
After your lake adventure, return to The Village for a relaxed evening. Let the kids play basketball or shuffleboard while the adults unwind with a drink by the fire pit.
Start the morning with coffee or chai tea along with yummy breakfast treats from Trader’s Coffee House.
Then visit Swallow Falls State Park for the area's most popular scenic hikes. You can see three picturesque waterfalls: Muddy Creek Falls, Swallow Falls, and Tolliver Falls
In the afternoon, come back to The Reserve for pool time or a soak in the hot tub. This is also a great time to indulge with a massage after a busy day outdoors. Later, enjoy waterfront dining at Ace’s Run Restaurant & Pub, followed by ice cream from Lakeside Creamery.
Use your last full day to fit in one more favorite activity! There are lots of options to explore:

Everyone loves a day at Deep Creek Lake State Park! The kids can play and swim at the sandy beach, and there are kayak, canoe, and paddleboard rentals as well. Visit the Discovery Center to learn about the local environment through fun, hands-on exhibits.
Wisp Resort's Mountain Park has aerial adventures for all ages. Little ones can try the Chipmunk Challenge while others in your group do the Flying Squirrel Canopy Tour. There's disc golf and mini golf too along with Escape Games in the main lodge.
Special events are always happening throughout the summer.
From farmers markets and free outdoor concerts to July 4th fireworks and the county fair, there's something that every member of your crew can enjoy!

Wrap up your trip with a relaxed evening at Timber Rock Village. Play a round of pickleball, enjoy one last swim, and gather with family or friends for dinner at your vacation home. A summer vacation at Deep Creek Lake is best when it includes adventure, downtime, and simple moments together.
