Wonderful
We stayed for Christmas holiday and couldn't have found a more perfect place for your families to meet one another. The home was beautiful inside and out and every detail was thoughtfully curated for their guests' experience. The home is so comfortable and each room is so well appointed everyone felt relaxed. Everyone left wanting to come back.

Thanksgiving 24
Enjoyed a 4 day stay. Great layout for home, and we used every room. Enjoyed the hot tub in the snowy weather. Got out to China Wok, and the Festival of Trees on Saturday.

Gathering Place
Roses are red. White's the snowflake. We had a fun time. Up in Deep Creek Lake! The temps were quite cold, so red was the face. We loved our short stay, At your Gathering Place!

Great Getaway
This house was absolutely perfect for our 6 adults for the weekend. The owners were wonderful to deal with and although we had blizzard conditions, the house felt warm and comfortable. Would recommend this house in a heartbeat!

Weekend Away- Gathering Place
We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend away at Gathering Place. Everything in the house was well kept and the house was extremely well stocked. The kitchen had everything needed, plus more. The house had a lot of personal touches and the spaces were very comfortable.

Wonderful Stay
We spent the weekend at The Gathering Place with my husband's family. We live hours apart from one another, and it was a great "meet in the middle" location for us to spend some time with one another. The house was immaculately clean, and spacious for the 8 adults, 1 toddler, and 1 infant that were traveling with our group. The common area was open and extremely family friendly, with a large table for shared meals. The kitchen was extremely well equipped. I highly, highly recommend this property when travelling to DCL! Extra bonus is it's about a 5-10 minute drive to Swallow Falls State Park....we had an awesome hike there!

Exceeded Expectations
This house is BEAUTIFUL and the best of both worlds. The area by the firepit is surrounded by tall trees so you feel like you are in the mountains. In a 1 minute walk you are at the dock by the water. The house is located in a peaceful and serene environment. Not only is the house BEAUTIFULLY decorated but so many small details were thought of. You arrive to a thoughtful welcome basket, toiletries and items you will need while you are there are provided, canoes or paddleboards await you (with reservation), and more. There are games like cornhole, ping pong, and more. The kitchen is REALLY well appointed and has 2 fridges. The beds are super comfortable and the owner and communication was WONDERFUL. I have rented a lot of vacation properties and this house and the host rocked it! Thank you for making our family vacation memorable.

Spacious Retreat
Thank you Jodie and Joe for sharing your home with us. Our family of eight celebrated many firsts there at The Gathering Place. We celebrated our son’s 31st birthday, and enjoyed a family time vacation with our new 2 month old granddaughter and our daughters new husband. We so enjoyed kayaking, fishing off the docks and quiet beautiful sunsets. After hiking and kayaking the hot tub was such a treat. We were there 6 nights and made all meals together except for one night pizza brought back in the nicely equipped and beautiful kitchen area. Thank you all again.

Perfect Weekend Getaway
The house was beautiful. There was something for everyone from the fire pit to the hot tub to the shuffleboard table and arcade games! Hopefully we can come back and spend time on the water.

Awesome
Everything was very clean, and all the little things were extra special, such as soft blankets to lay on the couch with plenty of things so didn't have to go to the store right away. Such as soaps, detergents, toiletries. The kitchen was the best ever stocked kitchen I have rented anywhere. Decorated beautifully and very homey!! The walk to the dock was very easy and not very far!!

The best time!
We had the best time hanging out at the Gathering Place. Perfect weather, great hikes, ad fun times had by all. Thank you for sharing your space with us. We especially enjoyed meeting the neighbor, Mr. Skwach? I can't quite remeber what he said He was so tall and no offense but quite hairy as well. Anyway, he disappeared off into the woods after a few s'mores.

Comfortable!

Sweet 16!
Sweet 16 was celebrated here with joy. The kids stayed up late in the bunks laughing and bonding. They relaxed in the hot tub several times, took a stroll by the lake, and exploded a piñata strung from the pergola. S'mores were roasted at the fire pit and rose grape juice sipped with cheers. Great times were had and lifelong memories made.

Gathering Place
Our book club was looking for a great place to gather for a wonderful weekend away The Gathering Place did not disappoint! Plenty of room for the 11 of us with space to grow. Then walking to the lake, building the bonfire, soaking in the hot tub and the laughing, crying and sharing. We recommend the hike to Swallow Falls. While not a prison, we did find committed to having fun. Thank you for allowing us to visit.

Gathering Place
Loved the quiet location and open concept of the home! The kids loved the shuffleboard and PacMan machine. We all loved the hot tub and daily walks to the lake. We took a little time to go horse back riding at Western Trails - highly recommend! All-in-all everything was absolutely perfect. The house was exceptionally clean and we would love to come back!

Gathering Place is the perfect name for this amazing home!
Gathering place at timber rock village was the perfect home for a winter getaway. It was in a great location and had everything we needed for a relaxing, coffee table stay. Jodi and her husband were exceptionally attentive and communicative- even plowing the driveway several times for us! We loved the layout of the home and how perfect it was setup for coming in and out of the snow. We’d love to try staying here in the summer too!

Felt Like Home
We loved every inch of the home. The kitchen table was amazing, the hot tub and outdoor area was perfect- even in the winter months, and we loved the open floor plan where we could all hang out and enjoy our time together. We are definitely considering a return trip this summer. Thank you for being a pet friendly rental as our dogs are part of the family.

Sweet Place for a Sweet 16 Party
Gathering Place is clean, tastefully decorated, and well-appointed with dinner/glass/flatware. The rooms and living and dining spaces are ample in size and very comfortable. Parking is spacious. The house is a short drive from restaurants, shopping, and grocery stores while also being located on a more rural and relatively private lot/road. Lake access, fire pit, hot tub, grill, outdoor concrete ping pong table, and two refrigerators are pluses, along with a bunk bedroom that comfortably sleeps 6 people (which our kids loved!). On-site bear-proof trash receptacles are convenient. Essential hygiene and cleaning products generously were provided, and I especially appreciated not having to strip and bundle the linens from all of the beds at the end of our stay (like some property managers at other houses expect). This was our second stay at Gathering Place, and we would happily return again!

Highly recommend this property
The Gathering place is spacious, extremely well kept with updated appliances and amenities. For most of the time we spent outdoor in the backyard next to state of the art fire pit. If you want to have a getaway that is quiet with a spacious deck and interior The Gathering Place is meant for you and your family!!! Thank you for checking-in while we were there!!!

Great Stay
We had a great stay at the Gathering Place! It was the perfect place to enjoy hiking and kayaking while also relaxing. We loves the lake access, hot tub and firepit. Everything was clean and cozy and we will be definitely be back!

Family Fun
Thank you for a fun family filled weekend, celebrating a 60th wedding anniversary. We enjoyed the house, hot tub, fire pit, and lake access. The Gathering Place was excellent, clean, and the perfect size - until next time. P.S. We enjoyed gathering for meals around the table, playing pac man or ping pong, soaking in the hot tub, hanging by the fire and floating dockside in the lake. This house is a close drive to wisp, swallow falls, and local shops. Can't wait to come back to DCL soon!

Gathering Place
We had the pleasure of staying at Gathering Place for several nights this Spring - and how lucky we were! This home is simply stunning, and feels like a true "home away from home". Beautifully decorated, yet still cozy, it is a 5 Star Stay all around. With 2 Masters - 1 on the 1st Floor - tons of living space, both inside and outside, it's the perfect vacation home for 1 family, or 2 families to share! And the backyard was AMAZING. We enjoyed the hot tub at night and in the morning, and the fire pit was awesome. The lake was a very short stroll down the path. You feel a million miles away from everything, yet we had great restaurants, shops, and things to do nearby. We cannot recommend this home, or Timber Rock Village, enough! Joe & Jodi were perfect hosts, and the house was squeaky clean. If you want the best of everything Local, this is the place - and these are the vacation rental managers - you want!
